FEL is excited to announce that we have entered into a multi-year agreement with Michelin. Michelin will be the series tires for the Sports Car Championship Canada and Emzone Radical Cup Canada for 2021, 2022 and 2023. Along with tires and support, Michelin will also offer engineering support for the series teams during all race weekends with a Michelin engineer on site.
FEL would like to thank Tony Menard, Tom Sullivan and the entire team at Michelin for their confidence and support in the launch of our new Sports Car platform in Canada as well as our Emzone Radical Cup.
“Having Michelin come on board gives our teams and drivers a huge amount of confidence on many levels. The quality and performance of the Michelin racing tires is known around the world. Michelin has raced and won on pretty much every race track around the world and we could not be more proud to have them as the official tire of our new series.” said FEL President Chris Bye.
“In the spirit of giving back to the teams, one set of Michelin race tires for the Sports Car series and one set for the Emzone Radical series will be given away each weekend through a random draw at the drivers meeting. We promised to give back to the teams and drivers through prizing and prize money and the tire give away officially starts that process. More details on that soon, as well as further prize announcements”, Bye continued.
