Operation Motorsport North America Announces the 2025 Veterans Race of Remembrance at VIRginia International Raceway
FEL Motorsports to organize invitational TCR/GT4 Can-Am Challenge endurance race to be featured at the event
ST. CATHARINES, ON – July 19, 2024 – Operation Motorsport in conjunction with the United States Auto Club (USAC) and VIRginia International Raceway, are excited to announce the inaugural Veterans Race of Remembrance, set to take place over Veterans Day weekend, November 7-9, 2025, at VIRginia International Raceway. This USAC-sanctioned event is poised to become a fixture of the North American motorsport calendar, drawing top-tier drivers, teams, and cars to conquer one of America’s most iconic road courses. Thousands of motorsport enthusiasts, active service members and Veterans are expected to attend, making it a weekend to celebrate and remember.
Along with the Can-Am Challenge, the event will include a 12-hour multi-class sports car race and two rounds of a TBA single-make series. In addition to the on-track excitement, the weekend will be filled with activities to honour veterans and engage race fans. This USAC-sanctioned event is poised to become a fixture on the North American motorsport calendar, drawing top-tier drivers, teams, and cars to conquer one of America’s most iconic road courses. Thousands of motorsport enthusiasts, active service members and Veterans are expected to attend, making it a weekend to remember.
The FEL Motorsports-organized Can-Am Challenge featuring TCR and GT4 teams will be the first of its kind in modern sports car racing. With an emphasis on competition between teams from Canada and the United States, this race represents the resurrection of the Can-Am concept that once thrived in the 1960s and 70s. The race will be an invitational grid and will feature some of the best GT4/TCR drivers and teams from North America. Work is underway to provide a significant prize package with details to come at a later date.
