FEL Motorsports Announces the 2023 Prize Package for the Sports Car Championship Canada presented by Michelin

2023 Prizing to include per-race prize money, drivers meeting draws, Grand Prize, and Individual Performance Scholarship

ST. CATHARINES, ON (April 21, 2023) – FEL Motorsports announces the prizing for the 2023 Sports Car Championship Canada presented by Michelin. The 2023 race season will consist of 12 races over 4 weekends with each being a triple-header. Prize money for race winners will be paid out in the same format as previous years. Drivers will receive cash for each car they place in front of in their respective class:

1st place race winner – $125/car

2nd place finisher – $100/car

3rd place finisher – $50/car

“The SCCC race prize money has always been a non-negotiable for us,” said FEL Motorsports Manager, Jessica Benevides. “The format encourages bigger grids, but, more than this, it allows us to pay out the top three finishers from each class, encouraging high-level competition.”

The drivers meeting draws will continue in 2023. At each weekend’s drivers meeting, driver’s numbers are pulled out of a hat, giving every driver an opportunity to win:

A barrel of race fuel provided by FEL Motorsports

In 2023, drivers from the GT4 and TCR class of the SCCC that enter every event will be entered to win the FEL Motorsports Grand Prize draw, which includes 2 tickets to the inaugural 2023 Las Vegas Formula 1 race, including 2 roundtrip flights and accommodations! Even if you never finish on the podium, you could feel like a winner in Vegas!

At the end of the season, FEL Motorsports, in conjunction with Performance Prime, awards an Individual Performance Scholarship to one outstanding driver from either the SCCC or Emzone RCC. This program is valued at $9,995.00 USD and the winner is announced at the final race weekend of the season. Last season, the Individual Performance Scholarship was awarded to undefeated Radical Cup Canada Champion, Jonathan Woolridge. The awarded driver has until April 2024 to
complete the program.
