Jesse Lambert Brings His Simulator-Built Speed to a Home Race at the Grand Prix de Trois-Rivières
A podium at Calabogie sets up a home-province weekend for the Québec driver
TROIS-RIVIÈRES, QC (August 6, 2026) — Jesse Lambert does not have the biggest testing budget in the Emzone Radical Cup Canada presented by Michelin paddock. He has managed just two test days all year. What he does have is a simulator, a disciplined training program, and now the results to show for it: a podium finish at Calabogie Motorsports Park. This weekend the Québec driver, at the wheel of the No. 95 Radical Canada entry, brings that momentum to the Grand Prix de Trois-Rivières, August 7-9, for a home race on home streets.
“It makes me over-the-world happy. There’s no feeling like that,” said Lambert of his breakthrough weekend. “It shows that people who don’t have a lot of support can go on the sim, learn a lot, and prove what they can do. When I got out of the car after my test day, the first thing I told my dad was: it’s just like the sim.”
Lambert treats his simulator work like a job. He trains with a coach, practises in rain and fog to prepare for the worst, and runs longer stints than a race ever demands. His Trois-Rivières plan is already set. “I’m from Québec, so it’s a home race. There’s nothing I’d rather do more than race in my own province, so I’m going to prepare extra hard,” he said. “I’m going to do big stints of 50 laps at GP3R on the sim. That way, whether there are yellow flags or not, I’m ready for whatever comes.”
Lambert keeps his goals simple. “The goal is always to progress,” he said. “I never set myself a finishing position. My only goal is to know that I pushed the car, and myself, to the hardest. With that, the results come. I never tried as hard as I did at Calabogie.”
